ASHISH MANCHANDA has been in the music and entertainment business for over 2 decades and has played a significant role in the production / development of sound & music for artists, movies & live entertainment entities in India and the US.
A Valedictorian and Hall of Fame Inductee of Full Sail University, FL, USA, and a Design Thinker from Stanford University, he has a unique understanding of the entertainment sector, entertainment law and disciplines varying between music, film/video-making and live concert productions, was identified as a forward & innovative thinker during his formative years.
Ashish is featured in legendary producer/engineer Bruce Swedien's book, In the Studio with Michael Jackson. He is a 4 time recipient of the IRAA (Indian Recording Arts Award) for best mix engineer movie soundtrack 'Dev D', for the debut album by Sona Mohapatra, best live engineer 2013 (Coke Studio, AR Rahman Live) and Music Producer of the year (ALIF - Independent) 2017. He is the co-founder of the award-winning sound engineering & music production institute The Media Tribe, Boon Castle Media And Entertainment and Flying Carpet Productions.
Ashish has been an integral part of entities viz. (TV) Coke Studio, India's RAW Star, MTV Unplugged (India & US), Mahabharat; (Movies) Bharat, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Om Shanti Om, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Dev D; (Live Productions) Beauty and The Beast, AR Rahman Live, Amit Trivedi Live, Aladdin; (Music Festivals) Totempole, Jaipur Literature Festival, NH7, EVC, and have international associations with MTV Unplugged, Multi-Grammy Producer / Engineer Bruce Swedien (Quincy Jones/ Michael Jackson), professionals behind artists Pharrell Williams, Beyonce, American Idol, Avatar, Harry Potter amongst others.
