Dinil

A suburban boy battling the metropolis and the coming of age by crafting musical memes based on the grim realities of human conditions. Strongly identifying himself with millenials and their unique circumstances, Dinil&#39’s poetry is the superimposition of surface level pop culture references over the deeper philosophical and psychological realities faced by these young adults as they navigate through life in a metaphorical drunken stupor. His music is a crude blend of his teenage years listening to Bollywood ballads and Nu Metal bands with the Carnatic sensibilities acquired as a child growing up in a Malayalee household. "Genres are just labels people put on your music to make sense of it for themselves, and to make Spotify playlists ofcourse. So I wonder what labels are gonna be thrown at me! I just believe in keeping it raw and keeping it real!

Bolo Na Zara

The travails of love, spoken and unspoken are playfully balanced in the experience of Bolo Na Zara. The song talks about the complications of the matters of the heart, where so much is left unsaid yet so much desired to be heard. Words missed in love create an aching pain for the lover as he coaxes the loved one to articulate the passion. Dinil is an impassioned songwriter who fabricates an engagement with the listeners through his pictorial description of the passage of dusk and burning of his village to play up his emotions.
